Evaluasi Program Pendampingan Penulisan Ilmiah: Studi Kebutuhan dan Dampak terhadap Produktivitas Dosen

This study aims to analyze the need for mentoring and evaluate the impact of the scientific article writing mentoring program among lecturers at Safin Pati University. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach supported by quantitative data to obtain an in-depth picture of the challenges faced by participants and the effectiveness of the interventions provided. Data were collected through a Likert-based questionnaire, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and direct observation. A total of 40 lecturers were selected through a purposive sampling technique, with 15 of them interviewed to identify the main obstacles, such as difficulty understanding article structure, journal selection, English language proficiency, and time management. The mentoring program was designed to include intensive workshops, personal mentoring sessions, and the use of supporting software such as Mendeley and Grammarly. The evaluation showed that the program improved the quality and number of scientific article drafts produced, with 80% of participants able to compile articles according to reputable journal standards. Qualitative analysis identified an increase in understanding of article structure, reference management, and response to reviewer feedback, while quantitative analysis showed a significant increase in participant confidence, from 45% to 85%. These findings confirm that a needs-based mentoring program can be an effective solution to improve the quality and productivity of lecturers' scientific publications.
