Penegakan Hukum Terhadap Pelaku Pidana Perjudian Online

The current era of development is in line with the rapid development of technology. The consequences of this technological development not only have positive impacts but also make it easier to do negative things. In this research method, normative legal research is used, namely research is conducted by analyzing applicable laws and regulations. Regarding the source of legal materials using two methods, namely primary and secondary. The results of the study show that one of the factors in enforcing the law against online gambling is the community itself, which must be literate and aware of the law. Efforts to overcome online gambling crimes carried out by the Police are by providing appeals in the form of warnings and counseling and conducting supervision in cyberspace using the internet media. As well as perpetrators of criminal acts and those who promote online gambling, criminal sanctions can be imposed in accordance with applicable laws. So it can be concluded that this online gambling case is an appeal and prohibition to the Community by going directly to the community such as conducting counseling. Counseling in this case, namely the Police take an approach by providing an understanding of online gambling and providing knowledge of the dangers and losses that can be obtained if they do online gambling.
