Konsep Dan Metode Pencegahan Penumpukan Sampah Di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (Studi Kasus Tpst Piyungan)

Abstract

This article discusses the concept and method of preventive action for the phenomenon of waste accumulation at Piyungan TPST, Bantul. This research will explain the conditions, challenges and efforts made to overcome this phenomenon. This research method is qualitative with descriptive analysis data processing methods. Some of the discussions in this article are; 1). Main Problems and Challenges in Waste Management in Piyungan. 2). Negative Impact of Poorly Managed Waste Accumulation. 3). Appropriate and Sustainable Solutions for Waste Management in Piyungan. The conclusions from this research are; 1). Population growth and rapid urbanization are the main triggers for increasing the volume of waste produced every day. 2). The negative impacts of waste accumulation at the Piyungan TPST include the emergence of diseases and environmental pollution. 3). Among the relevant solutions in responding to this phenomenon is the implementation of Zero Waste practices as an effort to reduce the amount of waste.
